There is no recession
So don't let this false worry affect how
you come across in an interview.
If you want the job, then say so, don't beg
because you are worried about a recession.
In three years the millenium generation is going
to burst on the scene and that will drive the
economy in ways you haven't even seen yet.
So don't worry, there is no recession, nor will there
be one.

Attitude and Energy
Today's jobs are all about attitude
and energy. You may know 100% of what
you do and you do it well, but if you
don't come across with people skills as
shown by your attitude and energy, then
you may be brighter than the next guy/gal
but you won't get past the door without that
energy and attitude. Positive energy and can do
attitude are all that matters. Oh that and you
like your boss, or at least you give off the
attitude and energy that you do.

When you are looking for a job
and you don't have one, take
an assessment of your skills.
That is the product and service
that you provide.

Now understand you have to become
a sales person to sell this product
and service. Nothing happens in
this world unless a sale is made.
You must sell to get the job. A
sales person is somebody who can
read people and somebody whom
others want around. If you are
not that person kind of person,
you must learn how to gain those
skills and attributes and
use them to get yourself another
job.

4 Steps to Finding a Job
When You Don't Have One!

Step 1
Don't lose your existing job. Suck up.
It is so much harder finding
another job when you don't have one
that all your time is spent
on bringing in income instead
of finding a job.

Step 2
Know What You Like
The money is always there for those
who are happy in their jobs.
Don't chase money. It is
too elusive. Chase your happiness
and interestingly the money finds
its way into your pocket.
Yes, it might be slow in the beginning
and at other times, but that is
how it is with all things.

Step 3
Talk to people.
The internet is great for research.
Don't submit resumes and expect to
have someone call you up.
Submit the resume, and make the phone call
two days letter. Connect to a person
not an email. PICK UP THE PHONE.

Step 4
Adjust Your Income Expectations
You may make more, you may make less.
The point is to get the income stream
started. So start it and you won't
have to worry about an income. Then
you can work on your developing your
career.
